Yep. My son said his black co workers pitched a fit when black diners seated in their section.

Son said when he had a large minority group he just brought every condiment to the table in advance. Left pitchers of tea and water and let them serve themselves cause he wasn’t getting a tip and not gonna let them run him to death with requests.

Not that there are not a few exceptions. I live in Memphis. We done at an Italian restaraunt that serves authentic dishes. They only present what the chef feels is special, seasonal, and unique. Don't ask what prices are? I have never seen a waiter or waitress write down one thing when you order.

The customers of color there are a pleasure and know how such a place functions. We go there maybe 4 times a year. That's all we can afford. If we have a business purpose it's our preferred place.
