So an Obama era Border Patrol agent (TX) is fired in 2010 for possession of kiddie porn but the statute of limitations runs out before he is ever tried (attributed to case backlog).
He ends up working in one of those migrant detention centers for unaccompanied children until he is laid off in....2017 (May).
I am sure that the MSM will get right on this and ask probing questions of Obama era officials.

Before the rise of the www and all its apps and sites there was a network of BBS’s (Bulletin Board Systems) that were modem dial up. They exchanged email periodically by hopping it through board systems on landlines on FidoNet (what I was familiar with). Each node of the BBS is a separate computer, my local one had something like a dozen+ nodes, back in the early 90’s they were pretty active.
Between encryption and strict anonymity they were also about as secure as it gets, and I’d bet they could be a pretty tough nut to crack even today.

True Story From the life of Bagster
Some years ago, I was in Fresno's second best mall, when I came across the kiosk of a foreign devil selling hats with whatever you wanted on them sewn on.
I says to the guy, guy? Make me a hat that says "F Obama." He takes my order and I continue to mall while he does his good work.
Upon my return to the haberdasher, he gives me a different kind of look. A rather quizzical look. A look that, had he been in his country, he might give to someone he thought may steal his goat.
I feared that someone with a firmer grasp on the English language had got to him. Maybe the Deep State.
He then asked me, "What does this mean, this F?" I, wanting to complete the purchase of this wonderful hat, and thinking quickly (which is what I do) said politely and with a kind smile, "Friend Obama."
This satisfied the curious raggedy man. I paid for my purchase and went on my way.
The Sequel
Some days later, proudly wearing my wonderful new hat, I found myself in what some people would call a "nudie" bar (researching for a sociology class. No, really.) A buxom employee of the establishment approached and advised me that she admired my awesome "F Obama" hat. We became friends. For a short time.
Epilogue
The hat hangs with it's brothers and sisters not ten feet from me at this very moment.

I’d consider it likely the mycelia of the deep state began spreading through the Republic prior to the civil war. The Creature From Jekyl Island does a good job of fleshing out the money side. Texx Marrs (sp?) Rule by Secrecy opens up a lot too, but there is some (at least when I originally read it) heavy duty rabbit warrens in there...
