Yes, but he sought to defend the American way. I’d be happy to welcome all that want to come and defend the American way.

Technically, he was an illegal alien. (And yes, The Shoveler and Mole Man were unaccompanied miners.)

Superman debuted in the shadow of tyrannical regimes that were in the midst of committing mass genocide throughout Europe.
I don’t think the present situation holds up to comparison.

Superman also renounced his US citizenship.

He's also gainfully employed.
Oh, just one more thing.
He fights crime.
...or is that because he's *white*?
Lewinsky on that one, libs.

Whoever is running DC comics or the movie division of it: You are ruining a legacy. DC comics should be KICKING Marvel's @ss at the box office. Their superheroes would destroy Marvel in a mano-on-mano battle. Instead, Aquaman looks like a fricking Hell's Angel biker rather than the blue-eyed blonde man that he is. None of the other Superman villains, such as Bizarro #1, Mr. Myzksplyk, Brainiac, and the Toyman have been introduced - always fixated on Lex Luthor and General Zod. Green Lantern crashed and burned. Nothing in the works for Apache Chief, Black Vulcan, or even the Wonder Twins.
Pathetic

Chuck Norris and Superman got into a contest and the loser had to wear their underwear on the outside.

Weren’t his enemies then... the ones who forced the President to kneel in the movie... also refugees?

But unlike modern refugees, their home country still exists. If Krypton didn’t blow up, don’t you think Superman would be living there instead?
To: EdnaMode
No, he’s an American citizen. His pathway to becoming a citizen may have been somewhat questionable, as there was no easy way to explain his presence, but he did become an American citizen.

Good thing he landed here rather than in Germany (which seems open to anyone now).
