Bezos is the riches man in the world, yet, Amazon is mostly a bubble stock. Bezos is super-rich, but only on paper.
AWS is he earnings center of the company, while the retail/e-commerce side is pathetic as far as earnings go.
Without AWS, Amazon would have been shut down years ago.
Overall, it's P/E ratio is pathetic, but, the hype keeps the stock moving astronomically high. Google and Microsoft and Apple and IBM and most other large corporations are more profitable. Even Walmart is more profitable. And, Walmart is still the retail gross revenue giant, beating Amazon by a lot.
Amazingly, Amazons cloud-computing business represents only about 10% of total revenue it reported $5.49 billion in first quarter revenue, out of Amazons grand total $51.04 billion yet AWS brought in $1.4 billion in operating income out of Amazons total operating income of $1.9 billion. While accounting for more than 73% of operating income, AWS revenue grew 48.6% from the year before and operating income increased 57.3%.

You’re absolutely correct. Amazons stock price assumes a LOT. Of course, I thought so 10 years ago and didn’t buy it then. So what do I know :)
