I wasn't trying to be smug or virtuous as some think.
I honestly don't follow celebrity culture very closely so everyone blends together for me. I may read a name but I don't associate it with the face.
I haven't seen any of those movies but I did see a very good performing arts college production of 'Chicago'.
They may all be great films but I wouldn't know because I haven't seen them because I was never interested in seeing them.
I was never star stuck. I can't remember ever going to a movie because it starred Tom Cruise or George Clooney. 'Star Power' means nothing to me. The entire Kardiashian thing is just bizarre. How are these people 'famous'?
The answer, for me, is the Hollywood Hype Machine. Without the incessant hype of Hollywood agents, planted rumors feed to gossip columnists, and movie studio production promotion teams, these people would just be actors in films and on tv.
CZJ has a legitimate track record and she's gorgeous.
Still not enough to get me to see her movies or the movies of any other actress based on name recognition or a beautiful face.
That's just me. No offense to anyone.
Some of those flicks are not so hot. I believe she won the Oscar for Chicago, which is her “best” movie.
Her husband is far, far more accomplished.
