AZ BISHOP: Punish enforcers of Trump's immigration policy

As the U.S. bishops discuss immigration, one bishop says the Church should punish Catholic government officials who enforce the president's immigration policies. Critics have noted no similar calls to punish pro-abortion or pro-gay marriage officials.

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) began its biannual meeting on Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The meeting opened with a special focus on immigration policies, and several bishops condemned the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigrants.

Bishop Edward Weisenburger of Tuscon, Arizona even suggested using canon law to punish those responsible for splitting up families. Possessing a degree in canon law, the bishop said, "Even though what I am saying may be risky or dangerous, I think it's important to point out that canonical penalties are there in place to heal — first and foremost to heal."

He continued, "And therefore for the salvation of these people's souls, maybe it's time for us to look at canonical penalties."

Since scriptures do say that “whole households” were baptized, infants and children, those are public also.

There are those adults who do come into the Catholic Church via baptism, it is called the RCIA.

IF you are so supportive of the illegals—— take a church position SOUTH of our border & do all your preaching there.

IF you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

Bishop—YOU are part of the problem.

Bishop-—I have this question:

When all the illegals from every shithole in the world has invaded & contaminated the USA, then, pray tell us, WHERE will they wish to invade next?

Nowhere does it say infants were baptized, but that’s not even a major point of contention. Calling Mary Queen of heaven I have a serious problem with, I have a serious problem with praying to her too, or anyone else besides God.

I have a problem with paying money to shorten time in “purgatory”, I have a major problem with a priest or someone absolving me from sin. I have a huge problem with the whole man made Roman Catholic Church actually.

Baptism of infants is simply a continuation of the Old Testament practice of circumcision. Also whole households baptized.

Even the Protestant churches are man-made.

Take the bishop’s citizenship away and deport him.

This is ONE Bishop, NOT the Catholic Church, making this ridiculous statement.

He didn’t say a peep when Obama was doing it.

Is there anything left of the Catholic church outside of practicing homosexuality and socialism???

My wife’s family were very dedicated Catholics, but today, none of the family attends a Catholic church. Her parents were the last of the line.

My church is founded on Christ. He is the cornerstone.
