Jeremy John Webster has been arrested for investigation of first-degree murder, first-degree murder extreme indifference and three counts of first-degree assault
A 23-year-old man faces allegations of first-degree murder in a road rage incident in which he allegedly shot four people. Those shots killed a boy, critically injured his mother and brother, and wounded a bystander in a Westminster shopping center parking lot.
Jeremy Webster of Colorado Springs was officially booked into the Adams County Jail at 1:39 a.m., more than 10 hours after the shooting, said Cheri Spottke, Westminster police spokeswoman.
Westminster detectives interviewed the man for several hours after he was arrested without incident on Interstate 25 in Castle Rock. Through those interviews police determined he did not have a relationship with any of the people who were shot.
According to a search warrant for Websters car that was obtained by Denver7, one of the womans three sons told police his mother and Webster had some sort of altercation near the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and Turnpike Drive.
The warrant says Webster then followed the 41-year-old woman and her children to the office complex at 5150 80th WESTMINSTER, Colo. A 23-year-old man is being held at the Adams County jail for a shooting in Westminster Thursday afternoon that left a boy dead and injured three other people. Police say the shooting appears to have been a road rage incident.
Jeremy John Webster, 23, was booked into the jail at 1:39 a.m., according to jail records. That was more than 10 hours after the shooting happened at an office park near 80th Ave. and Sheridan Blvd. in Westminster.
In addition to the jail records and confirmation from the Westminster Police Department, Colorado Bureau of Investigation records show Webster was booked for investigation on counts of first-degree murder after deliberation with intent, first-degree murder extreme indifference, first-degree assault and criminal attempt to commit a class one felony. A source with knowledge of the investigation also confirmed that Webster is the suspect in the shooting.
Westminster police said theyve learned that Webster did not know any of the victims or have relationships with any of them. It appears as if this incident stemmed from a road rage, Westminster Police Department Investigator Cheri Spottke said in a news release Friday.
And this,”...has mental health issues and just started a new prescribed medication today,...” But, the gun.
“Anyone else want to legalize MJ?”
Bit of a non-sequitur there...But sure?
Colorado? Could the road rage be cannibis related?
Jeremy Webster Has a Licence to Work in the Marijuana Industry & the Mother Allegedly Snapped a Photo of His License Plate After the Argument Ensued
The search warrant obtained by DenverChannel.com further stated that Webster claimed he has mental health issues and just started a new prescribed medication today.
As a matter of fact, I do.
Did say he was from Boulder...........
Maybe it's Toyota related?
Alcohol has caused many more stupid violent actions than weed ever will.
“Colorado? Could the road rage be cannibis related?”
Of course. Everyone here in Colorado is constantly high and driving while texting and carrying. Plenty of potheads in my hometown of Nashville to.
Having consumed both in massive quantities in my younger days, I fully agree.
Marijuana does not turn otherwise stable, law-abiding adults into homicidal maniacs who gun down women and children in cold blood. It simply doesn't and you'll not find anyone who has ever tried marijuana who would argue this point
That the original poster chose use this sad, tragic story as a springboard to hijack his own thread right out of the starting gate is shameful.
Tell that to gangbangers killing people over cred, dissing, rap song muscle, etc. they all smoke the dope it doesn’t make them chill
He's from Colorado Springs which isn't anywhere near Boulder.
Psychotropic drugs = suicide and murder as side effects. Prescriber should be an accomplice.
More than likely weed mixed with other drugs, legal and not.
(Raising hand) You betcha.
Maybe I am victim to American stereotypes but this is why I drive very gracefully and humbly while in the USA. Worried that if I cut someone off they will blow me away.
Same here. Given how many war vets NEED to use the stuff, being anti-cannabis is a particularly despicable position, when combined in the same individual with enthusiasm for sending them into combat.
There is no longer any excuse for believing Drug War era propaganda - too much information is out there available to any person who performs an honest inquiry into the subject.
Take away their weed and they'll still kill each other but you knew this already, which makes your contributions to this thread even more useless.
“Webster also told police he has mental health issues and just started a new prescribed medication today,”
be interesting to see if the medication is Depakote; known to cause extreme anger and rage:
