the more incriminating info is what was written in the email drafts, that is where you and I both have same gmail log in I write a draft message but never send it. you log in to read my draft and make changes to reply the plan was that those messages were never sent and therefore were “safe”
every other email ever sent could be intercepted by the NSA, possibly even the web traffic of the message being downloaded from the server to my computer would be enough for NSA to “see” it. but if they were at google and had access to the server it doesn’t matter they definitely have it all...
gotcha - what I’m saying is that on his / its own, OIG doesn’t have access to GOOG - you have Huber +/- tribunals that can pull in OIG work along with subpoenaed materials ala GOOG to complete the picture. Some noted yesterday the IG isn’t the end of the chain, it’s the beginning ;)
