Good (and bad) movies come and go, but some films garner such a fierce, loyal following that they reach cult status. People watch them over and over and over again. They host parties to watch them some more. Midnight showings at movie theaters draw incredible crowds, and oftentimes, fans "act out" the scenes in front of the screen.
Actors who happened to have been in cult movies enjoy lifetimes of stardom (to one extent or another) and can probably make a living signing autographs at events and Comic-Con ad nauseam.
Are you a huge fan of any cult classic? Here are some favorites below. Weigh in with the ones you can't get enough of!
I find the spirit and ethos of Red Dawn (the original) to almost a polar opposite of that of Doctor Strangelove.
I love Red Dawn. I do not love Doctor Strangelove.
But say what you will, at least it’s an ethos, man.
"Manic"? LOL...you don't even understand the meaning of that word; so you really shouldn't use it. But then, if you refrained from using words you didn't understand the meaning of and didn't post on topics you know little to nothing at all about, you'd be able to post 3 replies a year...or less.
My husband really wants to see that movie.
I saw the remake of LHOTL & it was really good. Want to see the original.
They are remaking Picnic at Hanging Rock. No way will it have the mystery & aura of the original.
Galaxy Quest for sure and I’ll add Captain Ron to the list.
Much of the action takes place in Mena, Arkansas. Based on reading posts on this site for many years, that fact should make “American Made” interesting to many fellow Freepers.
I agree. You can’t beat Peter Weir and his team. Great director and filmmakers.
