I was under the impression that the president traveled east to Singapore from Canada, refueling in Crete. If so, he was no where near Whidbey Island on the 10th, I'm thinking.

I had heard that too, but the photos of Alaska seemed to indicate AF1 was flying to NK westward, not eastward.

I’m not positive that they have indicated it was an attack on AF1. There was speculation that Japanese PM Abe may have had a flight plan in that direction. Or it could have been something else.
