The color of the plane has nothing to do with what a plane is called. No pilot talks about his pink plane or his blue plane.
AF 1 is an Air Force plane. It would not be referred to as blue metal. A Navy plane might be.

not talking about what navy or airforce guys call their aircraft, it certainly could be a secret service nickname, like the limo is called the beast. also AF1 went east to singapore from Quebec, and continued east to guam then HI on the way home. this map of the great circle routes shows neither passed over alaska

The Air Force flies Air Force One and their color is blue. Just throwing it out there. Navy is the stewards.
