Let us suppose for a moment that the reason Solo flopped was because the fandom is toxic.
Will namecalling and shaming make the next movie a financial success?
My son loved the Clone Wars cartoons. I realized how toxic “Solo” was when I asked him if he want to see it, and he said no.
That is after having seen “The Force Awakens”, loving it, seeing “The Last Jedi” and being lukewarm about it, and being shown the original trilogy and loving that.
So a kid who liked or was OK with the movies didn’t want to see “Solo” though that’s the movie that would be most aimed at him.
I wonder to what degree killing “Solo” and then having a movie about him was the mistake, whether having it in the reverse order would have been a solution.
They exploit the geek culture and revile the geeks.
Oddly enough socialist utopians, libertarians, and homosexuals had a happy enough home in fandom for the better part of a century.
The SJWs started attacking the old white people at SF conventions a few years ago, hating that they were still winning author awards, etc. and looking forward to the day that the old white people just die off.
Worldcon has been going on over 80 years, San Diego Con is around 50 years, and this tard thinks there was Yoda underwear in 1977.
