But The Last Jedi was a hit and a lot of people loved it. I agree it sucked on many levels. I do think a lot of fans finally were chased away by the leftism. I haven’t seen Solo, my impression is it’s good but many think they made Lando a bisexual so they stayed away.
Mark Hamill didn’t like it and neither did I. I like scifi special effects, who doesn’t. The story is another thing.
So you were good with the ‘Mary Poppins’ scene, or the idea of a ‘slow speed chase’ of the rebel fleet by imperial ships with plenty of gas and light-speed capability.
You were good with Laura Dern light-speeding her way through the imperial fleet.
You were good with the anti-capitalist scene at the resort.
You were good with the ‘Force Mastery in Three Easy Lessons’ meme, or that Skywalker the Jedi Hothead decided to off the gender-ambiguous Kylo in his sleep, rather than just decide to go homo and seduce him.
It was a bad, bad movie. An extinction-level event for the franchise, and they are smart enough to know it, but not humble enough to admit they overreached in their reeducation efforts.
