Question .... the IG report comes out Thursday but will we all be able to read it Thursday or do we have to wait until after the hearing on the 18th to read it?
The usual protocol is that the release is public. See numerous OIG repots that have ZERO associated hearing or followup, including the one that slammed McCabe. Parts of the report will be redacted, and there will be fights over that.
Other than the fact that this report covers some hot issues, I see no justification to hide it from the public over the few days between its release and discussion in public hearing. In fact, I think it is in the public interest to have the report out sooner.
IG REPORT: Per hill sources, the 500-page review of the FBI's 2016 conduct will be delivered to Congress at 12pm Thursday, with a review period for staff at 1 pm and public release at 3 pm.
