There are 435 members in the House and 100 members in the Senate. The house is determined by population and therefore, the number of representatives from each state can change…. However, the total number for members in the House is consistent and is always set at 435.There are 538 Electoral College Electors.
Each State gets one for each Senator and one for each House member. 435+100=535. Washington D.C., by Constiutional Ammendment gets 3 electoral votes, the same as the smallest state.
