Some work hard at that role. Control freak arrogance? Maybe.
Most people have been beat down for so long it makes the job of control freak easier. Too few bother to simply stand on their own feet and defend themselves. Others think it'll all go away of its own accord when that will never happen.
This control freak hasn't figured out yet that many here aren't on their knees and never will be.
