Thank you all for your prayers for my son-in-law last night. He is as dear to me as our sons and I was frantic, as I’m sure you discerned.
I believe the Lord did answer all our prayers. He rested well last night after the symptoms were abated. He did indeed have a violent reaction to dye used in a CT scan. This morning he describes himself as “well but really groggy and tired.”
I honestly can’t communicate how much I appreciate the prayers. We, as a family, do know God is the healer of all diseases and that Jesus bore our infirmity on the Cross. We are grateful when God uses medical professionals to do His work but we are still looking for a miracle in my son-in-law’s total healing. We look to God for a miracle because neither the VA, private medicine or good clean living is doing the job. God’s Word has done this job.
I have been back on the phone with elected officials again this morning. Not so much for the common good this time but calling attention once again to the VA. (a valid topic among many) My son-in-law wishes to be able to complete his 20 years in the service. He is a classroom instructor thus his service related disabilities do not affect his job. He trains both Army and National Guard troops. At this point the VA isn’t treating his disabilities and the Army is trying to force him into early retirement due to the disabilities.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all your prayers. The kids send their thanks too. Please see my tagline and find any topic to let your legislators know you are alive and watching them! (seriously, not asking to call about the VA, just call about ~something~ worthwhile)
Thank you for the update, prayers continue.
We’ll keep praying.
Perhaps the VA measure signed by President Trump this morning will eventually help you son and others in his situation.
President Trump signed the VA Choice and Quality Employment Act into law, authorizing $2.1 billion in additional funds for the Veterans Choice Program: https://t.co/h11oTegpPg https://t.co/oqOASaH5Wm
Good news so far, and I pray that God will protect and care for him in every way.
