I was listening to NPR once when they interviewed a former military guy who debriefed North Korean escapees. He described how they were indoctrinated to believe the Kim’s were gods and how the whole world was out to get them and that NK had the most sophisticated military and everything else. This poor man was shocked upon escaping and discovering every single thing he was taught was a lie. The man was UNDONE. The former military guy who conducted these interviews said he saw the same thing from every escapee that he debriefed and it was horrible to witness. I imagine the same for us.
Calm, guess this means we all have degrees of Stockholm Syndrome.
