As for the Soviets in WWII, you’ll find posters tight here saying the same thing. Their forces did engage the bulk of the German army. Of course had there been no western front they’d have faced a much more formidable enemy.
Well if the Soviets not been allies with Hitler in order to carve up Poland beforehand, maybe they wouldn’t have been in the position to lose so many later on.
