Various NFL players are reportedly discussing different forms of protesting in response to a new policy requiring players to stand for the national anthem.
I talked to a former NFL player yesterday who has said that players are already talking about other ways in which they can protest," NBC's Craig Melvin said on "Today" on Thursday.
Melvin did not specify which players he spoke to, or what other forms of protesting they were considering.

Here’s an idea for an alternative form of protest. They should put their money where their mouths are. Take the pay cut, go play in the Canadian Football League, and take a knee there.
“Protest” during the National Anthem is the height of rudeness. Whatever they do next will be far less terrible. It won’t matter though - we will all know that what they mean is “we hate America, white people, and the Constitution, and we wish we could still express our contempt during the Anthem itself”.
Fake but accurate.
They should protest by quitting.
“players are already talking about other ways in which they can protest”
well, for those players forced to stays indoor during the anthem because of the new rules, they could always take dumps on the floors .... that’s ‘em by crackie!
Smearing their own excrement on their own faces ‘in protest’ might be interesting.
How about kneeling down on both knees the way plantation masters used to force their slaves to.? (or on all fours as african kings used to require ...)
Dressing up in clown suits would be much a more visual affect.
Best of all - Protest by just quitting the NFL (yeah ... riiiight, like any one of those ‘protesters’ would ever do that.)
they are also hearing of some players considering other forms of protest, including staying in their locker room for the national anthem.
As Mark Levin said tonight, that is not a protest. You are allowed to stay in the locker room.
Refuse a paycheck and I might have more sympathy. Tell the owners in the interest of social justice, you want to be paid equal to a McDonald’s worker.
Perhaps these high-profile athletes would use their popularity to address the drug epidemic. They need to discourage kids from trying these drugs, pushing these drugs and keeping quiet about those who sell these drugs.
As long as the illegal industry is keeping kids employed with high paying drug marketing incomes, they will not try to benefit from an education. For them, the schools will be a market for their drugs and a place to find girls for sex—not an education.
“
Only people thatll notice is the ESPN/MSMLSD droids.”
And that apparently includes some freepers.
Actions have consequences.....
Maybe there are lessons to be learned...
Doubt any will do that...
I am partial to seeing how Baker Mayfield works out with the Browns...but don't watch the NFL
The NFL is truly a stupid organization.
******************************
I have to call it a toss-up between the NFL and NBA as to which is #1 and the other #2, relative to stupidity and playing the race card.
Both organizations could learn a lot from the MLB and NHL!
Do you really think the NFL players you refer to would want to cut off their sources for drugs and girls?
Just my thoughts too.
I can picture the NFL becoming Whiter in self defense....
NFL is off my personal interest list for ever- so nothing that the NFL does will have any effect on my life .
I will never watch another NFL game as long as I live.
TOO LITTLE , TOO LATE
Agreed!
