I'm a proud user of Office 2003, the last Office release before the dreaded 'ribbon' took over. Running just fine with Windows 7 Pro 64.

People tell me later Office releases are also compatible with Win 7 and ask why I don't upgrade. My answer is always the same: "I'm only using about 40% of Office 2003's capabilities. Why should I upgrade to a release that will have even more unused capabilities?" I'd also have to learn how to use the window space-robbing ribbon. No thanks.

If I'm stuck someplace and have to use the ribbon, I keep a copy of these on my flash drive. Very handy.

I still use Windows 7 and Office 2010, but I have Windows XP with Office 2003 dual-booted on this same hard drive and I still love to go back to it. I’m gonna install the Navigator Utilities and check it out. Though I use the Quick Access Toolbar I’ll use NU if it helps makes things easier.
