Okay, according to the DOJ organizional chart from Swordy's LexiQon, the solicitor General is not in the "Attorney General" chain. He is sideways on the chart. I'm thinking (my opinion only) that the number three in line for the duties of the ATTORNEY GENERAL would be the ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY GENERAL.
And that would be Pennochio (currently) whose time runs out now and can be assigned by the President. Yes? Not sure how Callaghan plays into it or where he fits. Maybe he will fill the slot without Senate confirmation? Or Sam Francisco? Or maybe my personal pick, Gowdy?
I will stand by this until proven wrong using geometric logic.
According to my theory, we can disregard Solilcitor General Sam Francisco unless he gets slid over to the Assistand AG slot.
Open to correction. I just wanna know.

Yeah, but the Solicitor General is going to be moved into #2
since when the move comes there is no eligible #3. New lineup @ DOJ #1 Sessions, #2 Francisco, #3 TBA *to be announced.
