There are concrete geniuses and abstracting fools, but at the tails, abstraction and speed dominate IMHO

You’d think we’d hear more from Mongolia.

...but 105, for 1.3 billion people, including hundreds of millions of destitute farmers? Not buying it.

My grandfather was a poor farmer/construction worker, who never went past the 8th grade.

I grew up watching him design and construct complex buildings for our farm out of trees we cut down, and lumber we purchased--complete with electricity and plumbing. He designed those in his head, and used a napkin when necessary. That includes all the wood beams' sizes, lengths, quality, weight and load requirements, etc. Those buildings are still standing and being used today, 50 years after they were built.

One's profession does not equal one's intelligence.

Agreed. Teacher317 completely missing the mark here.

Of course, teachers among the lowest IQs of college graduates...

I wonder what the average for the U. S. would be if you excluded liberals?

From 2017:
Are Atheists Generally Smarter Than Religious People?

More:

Another European Nation is Soon to Have a Homosexual Leader

Africa Won't Accept Homosexuality - Catholic Bishops

Reverse Missions to the 'Dark Continent': Africa is now sending missionaries to Europe

Clearly we should follow those smart people instead of those missionaries, who come from flyover countries and cling to their religion.

The world’s IQ distribution can be better understood by latitude. The populations with highest average IQ scores occur in the Northern hemisphere, specifically in Northern Europe, China and Japan.

The reason for this is not fully understood but may well have to do with the populations of these regions being exposed to near-extinction during one of the more recent Ice Ages, leading to the principle of survival of the fittest and natural selection coming into play to a far greater degree than in other parts of the globe.

As far as the top 5 nation scores being spread out geograpically between China and Japan (three of the nations listed are ethnically Chinese, plus Korea, which is genetically most similar to Japan), I am not surprised.

From a cultural standpont, all three cultures are extremely tightly knit, and resilient in the face of outside influences (including the especially virulent ‘brain virus’ of Cultural Marxism that is currently devouring the West).

Part of the insulation comes from their own pride in their cultural heritage and history, which they - in many ways correctly - see as older and superior to Western tradition.

Combine that with a strong work ethic and a millenia-long tradition of trading and business (which, in China, even survived the 30+ years of Maoist horror) and its easy to understand why many people conclude (myself among them) that the best hope for the long-term survival of civilization lies in the East.

Western Europe is as good as gone - it has chosen to commit suicide and the ‘brain virus’ of Cultural Marxism is forming one side of the pincer, with growing Mohammedism in their midst forming the other.

The USA has more resilience by its nature, but I fear that, once the Trump era ends and the leftists inevitably win all three branches of government again, and open the immigration floodgates, the USA will be pushed beyond the point of no return.

The China-Korea-Japanese cultural axis is still virile enough to recognize external threats and to treat them accordingly. (The Japanese do not allow much immigration, and none to Mohamedans. The Chinese treat this same threat with a mailed fist - which is the only effective method).

The language barriers, plus remote geography, form additional lines of defense there. Plus you can’t just move to one of these nations and learn enough language to ‘get along’. And, they don’t lure immigrants via generous welfare a la Western Europe and the USA).

Well, that’s enough for the evening. Good night all.

“The Army does not give IQ test, they give the ASVAB which is an aptitude test. You might be able to estimate an IQ, but I doubt it would be accurate.”

The higher your IQ, the better you do on the ASVAB. An approximate sliding scale could be calculated, and probably has been.
