NBA star Stephen Jackson went on the offensive against JJ Watt after news of his good deed.
The offer follows Watt raising $37 million for victims of Hurricane Harvey.
However, former NBA star Stephen Jackson found a way to slam Watt for offering to help, according to Total Pro Sports.
In response to the news that Watt was going to personally pay for the funerals, Jackson said on Instagram "Still got all that hurricane bread people donated might as well."
He followed up with, "All that bread PA Texas would have been rebuilt by now if it was sent to me."
Millions of people were hit by the massive hurricane last year, which estimates say caused up to $200 billion in damage, according to ABC News.
When Watt was asked in February where the money went, he pointed out that they could only do so much with so many victims.
"There are 2.3 million people in Houston alone, Kim. I apologize that we arent able to reach every single person, its simply not possible. Weve rebuilt homes & day cares, provided food & medical care and our work is far from finished! I promise were doing the best we can!!!" Watt posted on social media.
Jackson knows just how far $37 million goes, as he was paid around $68 million during his time in the NBA, according to Sports Illustrated.
When the NBA star made the "most overpaid players" list, he said he was actually underpaid.
"I've been underpaid my whole career," he said, according to Sports Illustrated. "You do the math. It's adding up. Who cares? Whether they think that or not, I'm still getting paid almost $10 million this year."
The number of funerals that Jackson has offered to pay for is estimated to be zero.
I assume so. I have to plead ignorance about JJ Watt. Looking at it from the outside, he seems like a genuine, caring person. I don’t have enough information to purport to claim otherwise.
Just more proof that “No good deed goes unpunished”
Leftists are pure trash, wow!
What kind of evil spirit have people embraced, that trash talk is imagined as a virtue?
I can only ask why every Houston area pro athelete isn’t helping? Baseball basketball too
So Jackson is just a jealous, insecure moron.
Essentially. You could also add ghetto trash.
Amish scum!
I don’t know but this Jackson has to be a real piece of work.
What JJ Watt offered to do seems to me it comes from the heart, he sure didn’t have to do it and it’s pathetic someone would slam him over it.
It appears he’s being obliquely accused of having kept some of the hurricane benefit funds and now using it on Santa Fe while claiming it his. That sounds highly implausible.
The guy is an a-hole and idiot. It doesn’t take much to read between the lines of what this dirt bag in insinuating.
What else could Jacksons motivation besides racism.
Yep, that’s the implication I got but it was purely a slam without offering one bit of foundation to it, bush league in my view and I’m not referring to presidents. :)
Yeah... If somebody’s going to insinuate this I’d want some kind of proof. At least some reporter asking Watt.
This is why I haven’t watched an NBA game for 40 years.
Stop with the Amish crap already. It’s not funny. Whoever started it is an idiot.
Please forgive me...I beg you...
SJ only knows selfishness and grandstanding. Its cultural. He needs redemptive love in his life. JJ is way beyond this kind of selfishness and grandstanding. God bless JJ and his act of kindness!
Sj perfect example of human showing off their ignorance ...thanks to social media you can see it firsthand.
No worries, friend. I just feel bad for the Amish. They don’t use computers, so they can’t defend themselves.
