Yeah, I see now that the snowmobiles were not invented until 1959. Best interpretation I could find for ‘skidoo’ was it’s short for ‘skedaddle.’ And the best for 23 was the hero of Tale of Two Cities was prisoner 23, and so the executioner called 23 and he was gone, skidoo.
