Meghan Markle has surprised everyone by wearing a wedding dress designed by Givenchy's Clare Waight Keller after months of speculation liking her to other designers, such as Erdem. The bride-to-be stunned onlookers this morning as she stepped out of her car wearing the classic silk gown in pure white with a 15st veil embroidered with flowers of the Commonwealth, after predictions she'd chosen a heavily beaded gown. The veil is made from silk tulle with a trim of hand-embroidered flowers in silk threads and organza, while the look was completed by a Cartier bracelet and earrings and a Queen Mary diamond bandeau tiara, loaned to her by the Queen, prompting proud Prince Harry to tell his bride: 'You look amazing'.

Harry will not become King unless all three of William's children die before him. If Charles and William die before William's children are adult, a regent would be appointed to assist the child monarch and it could conceivably be Harry; but the tragedy of it would be incalculable. I pray for the sake of dignity in the First Word community that God protects William's family. He and Catherine have tried to maintain decorum.

It was a gorgeous day for it and I've never seen such excellent footage of the Windsor castle keep and the town of Windsor. The hypocrisies and lapses in taste in the wedding ceremony were saddening. I cringed when the bishop played the race card and slung the word "slave" out there. How dare he grind his axe on such an occasion. Gauche.
Brit ladies' hats and fascinators lately have improved and toned down in comparison to the ludicrous lids of the past decade. Maybe the viral memeapalooza after William's wedding, especially of Princess Beatrice's fascinator monstrosity, served as a corrective. Both she and Eugenie wore nice tight little numbers today.
She must have been in rehab again lately (the Brit press called it a "spa" last time)—she's lost a lot of weight. Either that, or she finally got a better bra fitter.
I rather like that idea. I see Meghan has been criticized because she has a “past.” Well, who doesn’t? And her “past” involved....men....who are not held to the same standards of purity as women. Men are expected to make their conquests, but the women bear the blame for participating. Makes a lot of sense. No offense to anyone, but if wearing the white dress required a certain level of purity, few of them would be sold, and fewer could be honestly worn. But if it represents a fresh, unsoiled start, well, let’s hope that that is so. That’s a good blessing for any couple.
I thought the dress was in very good taste, although I don’t personally care for that style of neckline. I loved her veil. Harry looked darling. I mistook poor old Prince Charles for Prince Philip, his father.
She certainly rings my “grifter” alarm bells.
England will possibly soon have its first new “Black Prince” in the past several hundred years.

She is going to relish the role of being Princess Meghan. Once she gets a bun in the oven the expiration date for this “marriage” will begin.

I remember when Charles proposed to Diana, the nonstop chatter was that she qualified because she was Lady Diana Spencer (not a commoner) and was a virgin. Times have changed for sure.
I think that had to do with Edward being King. The rules were very different for William. Harry gets a free pass.
True dat! What we witnessed today was Liz’s official announcement the British monarchy has ended.
As to why Prince Harry could not get somebody better, I've no clue. Maybe there is something wrong with him, such as having a STD or worse. One poster stated that Harry was determined to promote interracial marriage. Another thought he is just plain stupid.
Except it didn’t fit her figure. It was all bunched up under the arms and her boobs were totally lost in excess material. One would have thought she’d have gone in to have it fitted. Pippa and Kate both have her beat in the gown department.
When she arrived and got out of the car, all that tulle blowing around made her look like a Halloween ghost.
