Lando Calrissian is pansexual, Solo: A Star Wars Story screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan revealed.
In a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Kasdan and his father, Lawrence Kasdan, who penned the script with him, discussed the character having an open mind with what he likes in the most recent Star Wars film, which stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo and Donald Glover as Lando.
Asked about Landos possible sexual fluidity ("Is he pansexual?", i.e. not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity), the younger Kasdan replied I would say yes. Theres a fluidity to Donald and Billy Dee Williams' [portrayal of Landos] sexuality. I mean, I would have loved to have gotten a more explicitly LGBT character into this movie. I think its time, certainly, for that, and I love the fluidity ― sort of the spectrum of sexuality that Donald appeals to and that droids are a part of.

I wish we could have a superhero like the original Chris Reeve Superman I, who fights bad guys and wins and saves people.
Dude on the internet says the write of “Solo” is a veggiesexual
I can’t believe you are defending sibling violence.
You sound like an offended millennial.
Well, you may be surprised that I don’t agree with sodomy laws - except those that protect children and non-consenting adults - that target consenting adults in private.
However I am absolutely against these unconstitutional federal “gay rights” bull-sh#t laws and I also support not allowing immigration of homosexuals and non-patriots.
Common you can’t be serious. Comparing the Three Stooges to the promotion of sodomy? No equivalency there - not even close, Pal.
I definitely agree that they should leave the politics and SJW stuff out. Unfortunately, telling them to keep politics out of Star Wars is going to be easier said than done, as Star Wars has been political for quite some time, before the Prequel Trilogy. Heck, even before Return of the Jedi (Lucas made it very clear, with his development notes actually backing him up in that case, that he penned Star Wars basically as solidarity to the Vietcong and anti-Vietnam War polemnic.).
OMG who cares
It’s a play on the word “breech.” (Breach/breech.)
I won’t be going to see this thing. Maybe when it hits pay per view. The only movie I see coming out I have an interest in is the new Tom Cruise film Mission Impossible, other than that not much I can see of real interest to me. Slim pickings this summer.
Honestly, no, this should not be pushed into the films. I’m sorry, but not once did I think ANYTHING of Lando being anything other than straight. Heck, even C-3PO I assumed was asexual due to his being a droid. The only character I might have even slightly suspected as being LGBT was Ziro the Hutt in that Clone Wars movie (and quite frankly, I wasn’t fond of that bit), and even there, later episodes of the series established that he was straight, or at the very least bisexual due to him being killed by a female he fell for.
There was absolutely nothing suggesting Lando was anything other than heterosexual. I don’t like these changing of characters to push filth. This has got to stop. Then again, Kasadan alongside Spielberg and Lucas had actually seriously considered making Indiana Jones into a pedophile during the development of Raiders of the Lost Ark, so maybe this shouldn’t surprise me at all.
The left makes movies to promote an agenda. NOT TO ENTERTAIN. The “entertainment” aspect is there to suck you in and to get you interested in the plot. Then you enter into a state of willing suspension of disbelief, and readily accept the message that is built into the movie.
This also applies to TV sitcoms.
F*ck them! I don’t need any messages!
I’m already boycotting Disney over Bill Condon opening his big mouth about LeFou last year, so you don’t need to worry about whether I’m seeing it (and honestly, the trailers didn’t really impress me. I only got slightly impressed with Han Solo himself with the latest one where he did sound believably like a younger Harrison Ford).
And unfortunately, we’re going to see more of the same as long as Bob Iger is still in charge, and we can’t expect him to enter retirement anytime soon either.
Or as I say, “If I want to get preached to, I go to Church.”
To be fair, Cinderella’s live action update was actually decently handled and stayed true to the spirit of the original.
But yeah, between this and the live action remakes for old Disney films, I’m getting irritated with this trashing of old values.
I’m not sure what to make of their actions to Star Wars. To be fair, even 40 years ago, it was hard-left propaganda by George Lucas’s own admission (basically, tricking audiences into rooting for the Vietcong).
The left makes movies to promote an agenda. NOT TO ENTERTAIN
The director of The Last Jedi actually ADMITTED this! When Mark Hamill protested the treatment of Luke in the script-telling him ‘we have to give the fans what they want’- Rian Johnson told him- ‘No, we give them what WE want.’
pan·sex·u·al
1.
not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity.
noun
You know, retroactively Lucas claiming it was politically left in concept wasn’t what the worldwide audiences got from the films. I certainly didn’t-and I voted for Nixon back then! It was a cynical time, but SW was the old-fashioned good guys beat the bad guys feeling the to which the world reacted. Looking at it now I still can’t see the leftist propaganda and if it had been received that way back in the 70’s I don’t believe it would have been the phenomenon it became- DESPITE, perhaps, Lucas’ intentions.
Technically, it wasn’t retroactive:

And you’d be very surprised as to how many films get considered popular despite being very subversive. Like Disney’s Beauty and the Beast which was Marxist feminism on steroids by Linda Woolverton’s own admission (and it wasn’t even that subtle either).
