Report: Sean Hannity Has President Trump's Direct Phone Line And They Talk Multiple Times A Day

Hannity is one of only a few dozen family members and friends cleared to reach Trump at his direct White House telephone line via the switchboard operator, New York Magazine reported. Hannity usually calls Trump, after his show Hannity airs, and the two sometimes talk multiple times a day about developments as they come up.

White House officials know how frequently Hannity calls because Trump will say, “I just hung up with Hannity,” talk to the TV host with others in the room or reference points from their chat later in the day, according to the magazine.

Trump often uses Hannity “to decompress” at night , a person familiar with the men told the magazine. The two men reportedly talked a few hours before Trump greeted three Americans who had been hostage in North Korea in their homecoming Thursday.

During a typical phone call, Trump and Hannity reportedly talk about special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe being a “witch hunt” and television ratings.

Hannity “fills the political void” left by former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, who was ousted last August, a source told the magazine.

ME: “If you have to say it, then it isn’t true. If it is true, then it would go without saying.”

YOU: Boy, wouldn’t it be nice if that were true.

OK; I was making what I’d call a rule-of-thumb generalization, which you apparently are saying is false.

Let’s break it down. It’s about people who toot their own horns a lot, vs. those who just let their accomplishments or virtues speak for themselves.

An overly-simplistic example:

“I am not a crook!”

Nixon said it.

Billy Graham never said it.

Surely you're not accusing the White House of lying?

No. I didn't even address that issue. My implication was that Hannity does a lot of name-dropping and tooting of his own horn, especially that he alone is carrying the fight (Levin does it, too) (you probably understood my 'Elijah-esque' characterization).

And stop calling me Shirley :)

Rush was too careful. Still is. Often disingenuous.

Hannity is a fellow outspoken New Yorker.

I understood what you were saying and have heard that stated many times.

I wasn’t saying it is false. But media/publicity driven personalities can’t really be held to that generalization. Look at Rush, for instance. He constantly states how smart he is and how insightful he is. That doesn’t mean he isn’t. His record proves he is. I get sick of hearing him say that on his show, but I love listening to him otherwise.

Wouldn’t be nice if it were true, that he didn’t have to say it.

Me too on all you said, with one little twist: from my perspective, Rush is just doing his schtick, and I am sure he is heavily tongue-in-cheek. Hannity really is asserting that he is the voice of ONE, crying in the wilderness (Levin and Savage, too).

>>Didn’t Al Sharpton have frequent and easy access to Obama?<<

Not sure about Sharpy but I’ve heard quite a few girly-guys had easy access.
