My dad was army air corp. There was no Air Force. Are we going back to that? A reorganization ? What would be the benefit ? Navy has their pilots its part of their big picture there Why not have the the flyers back in the army.

Here’s a thought on re-org. Suppose that the Obama Admin got rid of a number of ranking patriots and replaced them with Leftist hacks. Now, perhaps there aren’t enough good guys to back fill the coming empty spots where the commies are forced out, so consolidation would present a temporary solution. A few less desks to fill when the organization is not as wide. Fewer duplications, though maybe at the expense of some flexibility.

No I doubt we're going back to that time. Just getting the services to be joint and purple was trying enough. Now they are and their effectiveness is multiplied. The US Army has pilots, my nephew is one of them. But the USAF is here to stay.

My Dad was in the Air Transport Command during WW2.
