Lived in Jordan for a years. Drove VW bus from Amman through Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Greece and on up through Yugoslavia, and wound up in Netherlands.
Visited so many ancient sites, including Jerusalem.
Changed me forever.
Was it safe to do when you did it? Today it would seem to be a dangerous trip.
