Taking a name off a ping list doesn't prevent them from posting. Enlightned1 is, as far as I know, perfectly free to post in these threads.
I've asked a few people to take me off ping lists (personal preference on my part), and I'm able to post at will all over the place.
I sense a failure to have meeting of the minds here. From my perspective, ransomnote has been exceptionally gracious and even unnecessarily apologetic - meaning apologized even though no wrong done.
Seconded. I was removed from ransomlist’s ping list early on when I corresponded with her about the length of the early repeats, suggesting she move information to her profile page. And it never affected our relationship or my respect for her or my ability to find new Q threads. Yeah for ransomnote and all the work she does.
Ransomnote - you do yeoman’s work on these threads. It’s a huge (and at times, thankless) undertaking. You count as one of the people Q thanked specifically (as a Baker). We all do not say THANK YOU often enough.
To all the rest of yous: enjoy each other; these are heady and trying times. A little clever razing serves us all well in keeping perspective.

If you wrong your neighbor do you apologize to your sister.
She never has apologized to the person she had the disagreement with. Enlightened 1
She appeared to angrily removed them from the thread and made a public display of it Who would ever want to return after that very public humiliation
Either these thread are civil or we have lost the purpose of having them. Our first amendment rights are precious and we ALL should guard them. Not just say “well they can still talk if they agree to be bullied!”
In my mind Your reasoning is justification for being a part of the allowing first amendment to be swept by way side. I’m disappointed in you.
Neither is acceptable in polite society
