Iran Threatens ‘Industrial Scale’ Uranium Enrichment if Europe Doesn’t Save Nuclear Deal

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Friday that he would attempt to save the nuclear deal through diplomacy after President Donald Trump announced U.S. withdrawal this week. If that effort fails, he threatened that Iran would resume enriching weapons-grade nuclear material on an “industrial scale.”

This is rich. So, they are saying, "Give us money now and we'll move slowly and steadily towards a bomb, or don't, and we'll hurry up." And the EU only cares about short-term monetary gains, probably because those in power are driven by industrialists. Also, they hope the US will save them yet again if things go bad, no matter how badly they screw up--and if Israel and Iran blow each other up in the meantime, not their problem.

To some extent it reminds me of the "Buy this magazine, or we shoot the puppy" meme.
