Actually, some scholars believe that it was Plato and that he put all of what and who Socrates was to writing. I’m not saying I agree, I do think Socrates was a real person and he probably drank the hemlock and died for his beliefs. But it’s also quite possible some of the rhetoric and the ‘Socratic method’ could have been developed by Plato himself. We probably won’t know for sure until we enter eternity.
