If you go to Starbucks your cell phone will log onto their WIFI and ask for your name, e-mail and zip code to enable use of the Starbucks internet connection.

That's often true of places that offer "free" wi-fi. Not always full information, but some information. I've been to hotels that ask for some info, and others that ask for a "secret" password that is given you at the front desk when you check in.

'So then you bypass their "free" service and use your own, right? Unlimited data is the free way to go.
