Take a picture just in case. I convinced my mother to let loose her vast book collection by photographing every bookshelf, so that anything she decided she wanted later could be replaced.

That’s what we do. Take pics of special mementos, etc., before we donate or give away. That way we always ‘have’ it, to look at....but, it doesn’t clutter up a closet, wall, etc.
