Exactly like the Russian bots and other distractions. Most people will choose the entertainment side of the teevee, rather than get a headache trying to tease the truth out of a deliberately confusing mass of crap that masquerades as news and "truth."
"Confusion is the mission." It does keep the people divided. Throw in conspiracy theories, death counts, and assorted other trinkets, and people get all wrapped up and invested in that, to the exclusion of what's going on.
Yes I get tired of the vaccination fears, the chemtrails, climate change, Planet Nibaru, and a dozen others. Some fringe portions of “news” reminds me so much working with the criminally insane. I kind of enjoy Alex Jones for the mere fact he has so much energy he’s entertaining. He has some good journalism but he usually goes off the rails twice a day at least.
