Just a point of English for your edification.
You hawk a book. You hock a ring at the pawnshop. You can also hock a loogie, but the spelling on that is not standardized.

You can also hock a loogie, but the spelling on that is not standardized. We say "hork" or "hork up" a loogie, but that may be a regional dialect. "Lung oyster" is also part of the vernacular.
