Well, if it wasn’t Lincoln opposing secession - and I should have known it wasn’t because Lincoln later went on record as supporting secession - then who was the editorial writer for the Richmond Enquirer in 1814?

The reason I ask is because the editor here is being held up as a source of high credibility and I want to know if this is the same guy that supported the First American Revolution.

Ooooooooohhhhh. That's clever. Yes, he may very well have been alive and expressing opinions on the subject back in 1775.
