Do you think if The Shack made just one person seek the truth in Jesus Christ it served it’s purpose?
For those who feel they already know everything they need to know about Jesus Christ I can see where you would judge it harshly. For those still seeking...I think it is as good a place to start as any.

THE SHACK’s message is “New Age”, all roads lead to heaven. Having GOD portrayed as a women was enough for me to toss the book in the trash can.
JESUS says, “You will know the TRUTH and the TRUTH will set you free.” He is the only WAY.
Ding ding ding! We have a winner.
If someone wants to believe that God looks like Aunt Jemima, who are we to mess with that? What matters is that they believe in God.
God works through His Word and Spirit. If you start with an oppositional view that isn't helping. Sounds good sometimes but vacant.
All the angels in heaven rejoice if even one sheep is brought to salvation. No doubt.
I am not against people reading this book. And I too rejoice at any and all it may lead to salvation. My concern is for those who've read the book and seen that the option may be open that some other "good roads" lead to salvation. That's just not true. I've spent many years in lay evangelism among unchurched Americans. Too many folks have it in their minds that Christ is a good way but that there are other good options, universalism. This book did not disspell that idea to my satisfaction.
