Pres applauds crew & passengers of Southwest Flight 1380 for their courage responding to engine explosion April 17th. Singles out pilot Capt. Tammie Jo Shults for safe emergency landing. "Tammie did an incredible job." Also says "our hearts break" for passenger who lost her life.

At press briefing, @PressSec says both Pres and Chief of Staff John Kelly very happy with Kelly's position at WH. He is not being considered for V.A. Secretary.

Sanders says RADM Ronny Jackson MD remains on active duty and assigned to the WH medical unit, but Dr. Sean Conley, who took over as Physician to the President when Jackson nominated as V.A. Secretary, will remain in that post.
