Very good point! A lot more being paid for than a few thugs to make up some stupid stories.
Pay for the lies, pay for the law firm to funnel the money (attorney-client privilege), and pay for the thugs who make sure the liars don’t spill the beans.
So many possibilities for treacherous dealings.
