Hunting is a point of contention. DH hates venison and after one disastrous butchering episode, will not eat rabbit. He has gout, which means venison is not a good idea, even though rabbit is (it has no purines). Luckily, we let neighbors cull the herd and they share. I love both venison and rabbit. :( We live on a Class 1 trout stream, so there’s that and we both eat trout and pan fish. Plenty of beef, pork and chicken in the area, though, available for cash or trade.
Armory exists and he reloads. Actually have been suggesting he triage it somewhat, but, boys and their toys syndrome is an issue.
Boys and their toys always win ... or nearly always. It’s the law in these parts ... and lots of parts. And if it ain’t the law, they’ll pretend it is, anyway.
