I want to share a story, because, we, also, love comedy, real comedy:
We saw ads for a show that a James Corben, who does the late, late show. It was a special and never having heard of him, but saw something funny in the ad, decided to watch. Carpool Karioke was the show and it was funny. The entire cast performing The Sound of Music in crosswalks of a major highway. It had some really funny scenes, so I looked James up and decided to record his regular show to see a pattern. Well, OMG, the regular show was so hateful that we got about seven minutes into it when we pulled the plug. My bottom line is THERE ARE NO COMEDY SHOWS AVAILABLE ANYMORE AND PERHAPS FOREVER.

I feel a little sad, but I’ll survive.
I share your disappointment and hope things change.

So true. I loved his car karaoke too, but he is unwatchable.

Tim Conway Jr, obviously a huge fan of classic good comedy, talks nearly every night on his radio show (podcasted on I heart radio) on how he can’t even watch late night comedy shows. He is disgusted. He wonders which one will “pull away” from 100% Trump hatred and realize there is a whole audience of smart Americans out there who don’t feel like tuning in to be called idiots nightly. So far, NO ONE.

My son will choose John Oliver episodes for me to watch, that don’t deal with Trump Hatred or ridiculous leftist things. I enjoy his humor when he’s not leftist. I love when his comedy bits as he is in “trying to deliver straight news” a la Weekend Update mode, and he can’t not smile at his own joke. His little dimples come out and it just cracks me up.
