No, there was a test not long ago on vehicles with respect to EMP exposure. Most of the modern computer managed vehicles stopped running, but they essentially just got a scrambling and rebooting by removing the battery cable for a minute or so and reconnecting enabled them to be restarted.
I guess I should hunt the link up for that. It made sense too, as the sizes and lengths involved in an auto apparently arent amenable to building up really frying level voltages.
