I bought dyes to reload my 30-40 Krag
That is the best option because of the loading gate and the way the shells are entered into the firing chamber which makes a round nosed bullet the best for a Krag. Purchased rounds are usually sharp pointed and one has to be slow and methodical in chambering the round. The round nosed bullet is less likely to have trouble in loading on a Krag. Just look at the records for large animals in North America and one will see a significant number of them were taken with a Krag.
