It would be the best thing ever if true. The thing that makes it difficult is that he and Comey were supposed to be close, and all the lawyers he hired being lefties.

Maybe Mueller is one of the targets.

It is curious that he would be called in as a possible replacement for Comey, when he was not eligible for the job.

I figure the two of them laughed about "interviewing for FBI is the cover story, the press is stupid and will accept it." Then Trump offered that he thought a SC would be the best way to clear his reputation, he's in a bit of a pickle for firing Comey, and would Mueller accept if offered? No pleading the case, no explanation of "secrets known." A bit of flattery, your reputation preceeds you, etc. Mueller says "yes."

Whether or not Mueller becomes a target isn't known until the game is afoot.
