I understand. But this is not some novel or film. And, even in fiction, no compelling character is limited to a few dimensions.

And Kissinger IS a compelling character. He may even tell himself everything he has done/is doing/will do is for a greater purpose. We all do that. We all have our redeeming characteristics and actions.

We all also need to be vigilant against believing our own PR. Or that of anyone else. We are cautioned against judgements, but some actors on the world stage have such far-reaching impact on so many individuals and events, judgement is likely justified.

I do hope, this time, everyone acts for the best possible future for us all.

Kissinger paved the way for Nixon to open China. I would not be surprised if he was able to counsel DJT on his approaches to Xi wrt NK. He certainly does have a vast understanding of the way our world works. Donald would appreciate that.
