It would have been nice to spread it out a bit rather than have the utensils squeezed in on each side of the plate. Maybe the room doesn’t hold as many tables as they’d need.

I read somewhere that Melania didn't want the tables crowded together, so maybe in order to hold as many people with fewer (?) tables, they needed to fit more seats at each table.

That makes sense. Plus I have to admit that it’s VERY annoying when there is little room between the tables. Nobody can go anywhere without being a nuisance to surrounding tables.

Good thing they didn’t invite any dems or press!
