She wasn’t arrested over fifty cents. She was arrested because she was a drunk disorderly bitch. I repeat my question; what should the police do when someone resists arrest? Turn around and walk out? She put herself in that position. Not the police or anybody else. History shows that usually if you comply with police orders you won’t get hurt. They just arrested a guy who killed 4 people in random shooting. He didn’t get shot. Why not, because he was white? No, because when they told him to lay down on the ground he did it immediately.

You’re missing the point of what I’m talking about.

“drunk disorderly bitch” - was not the reason given for the arrest, as far as I saw. The only facts given was a dispute over 50c. If that was the only issue it should not have escalated to the point of an arrest in the first place. Police, in many instances I’ve seen, do not focus on diffusing a situation but go straight into authoritarian mode, almost provoking a person to justify taking them down.

Of course force is required if somebody is resisting arrest, I never said otherwise. That said, they obviously didn’t consider her a threat yet told her they would “break her arm”. Do you think that would be justified?
