A Greenville, South Carolina, resident smelled a home invasion suspects cologne, followed the smell to a closet, and shot the suspect dead. The incident occurred around 8:25 a.m. Friday morning.
Greenville News reports that the woman took her children to school, returned to her residence, and sensed that someone was in her apartment. There was an unusual smell, an odor, cologne or whatever.
The womans uncle, Douglas Sweeney, said his niece began going room to room in the apartment then opened a closet door and there he was. The woman shot the intrusion suspect on the spot.
Responding officers discovered the suspects body in the closet of the master bedroom. The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Quentin Ramon Oliver and his cause of death was listed as a gunshot wound to the chest.

Easy to be a backseat quarterback based on a sparse news story. She was by herself and knew there as an intruder. Imagine her panicked state of mind at the time.
The dead one. Yes.
The poster's home page is flying a Massachusettes flag......So I don't think they're joking.......LOL!
Personally, that was the dumbest statement I've ever read on this website regarding a home invasion shooting.......
I agree.
I am sure she is following the sage advice of when Police arrive, give BRIEF explanation of what happened, would it be possible for the EMS to check her out for possible shock AND would someone be kind enough to call her lawyer and have him/her meet us here or at the station. Preferably AFTER a short stint in ER or Hospital.

NO COMMENT to all without a lawyer present, especially the ‘press’ or neighbors....any statement can be turned against you, better say nothing than have to prove you weren’t in your ‘correct’ mindset when answering questions.
GET THAT F’N CAMERA OUT OF MY FACE is a good start.
I am not surprised at all.
There is also a conflict in the stories over location of the body. Might be misreporting in either case.
Now this is what I call winning!
